If you're traveling by train or bus through South ...

If you're traveling by train or bus through South Station, the positive of this hotel is that it's about a 10 minute walk away. They also have morning snacks and coffee in the lobby area, where there's plenty of seating should you need to do some work. However, the rooms are very much in need of maintenance (beds are not very comfortable, carpets are worn and old, restroom is the bare basics), and the walls are nearly paper thin, which is what drops down my review. You can hear nearly every word from your neighbors as well as a ton of door slams / any speaking by staff or guests in the hallway during the morning, making it impossible to sleep in past 8AM. This is because the rooms are solidly packed in (and quite small to boot), with only thin walls separating them. Additionally, many of the rooms in the back appear to formerly have been suites converted into individual rooms, meaning you have the shared doorway (from which even more sound can carry through).

Perhaps ok for business travelers, but maybe go elsewhere if you're here for leisure or are noise sensitive.
