Hit this in February when they were running Buy One Get One discounts, making it only about $20 each. Seeing the queue lines that are normally here, boy were we glad we came in the off season. We pre-purchased for 10:45 and arrived 15 minutes early and just walked right up to security and went in early with zero waiting. There was a line to buy tickets so was worth booking in advance. You walk past some fake imitation bedrock to get a feeling of the original landscape, and then board a nice elevator for a very quick and neat ride up that shows the history of the area. Then a short visit in a small room with another video (all this stuff to manage crowds that were not there). Finally a sales pitch for using a little ipad device for $15 (does nothing your phone can't do). And then you are free to wander, and it is a great view in every direction with huge clean windows easily worth our discounted admission. We lucked out to have a completely clear day. We arrived at the Chamber St. subway station, about a 10 minute walk away.
