This is a fun little museum. There are a lot of rotating exhibits, so check the website to see what's there now. Admission is free one Sunday of the month, so look out for that as well.

My favorite thing here is the kinetic sculptures, which may be the only permanent exhibit they have. I could watch these things for hours, they're so creative and clever.

I'm saying four stars only because the museum is quite small and unless you're very interested in one of the temporary exhibits, it might feel like ten bucks is asking too much. Still, it's supporting MIT and the research and education that has made so much of modern life possible, so it's hard to feel bad about that.

I'd say you could properly see the whole museum in about an hour to 90 minutes depending on how fast you read and what's on display.
