I used to view property management companies as being interchangeable, price being the primary consideration. Now, after having now owned residential rental property for several years, I realize I was mistaken. Like with most things in life, you get what you pay for and I have learned that not all property management companies are the same. PCH has been great. I have found them to be professional, responsive, and proactive when it comes to managing my property. Since I started with them, I have received all statements and tax documents in a timely manner. PCH has always informed me promptly when a repair was necessary, or if some other matter needs my attention. On the two or three occasions I have had to meet someone from PCH at the property, the staff has been on time, even though my property is a fair distance from their office. When the tenants moved out, PCH found quality new tenants very quickly, and much sooner than I had expected. Even though I have come to learn they managed a number of different properties, I have never felt as if I was treated any different as an owner of a single property, as opposed to a large commercial building. Finally, everyone I ve worked with at PCH has been pleasant to deal with. And, for my money, all things being equal, I prefer to do business with people I like. Absolutely no complaints.
