Pretty typical. Lovely look but as regimented and emotionally sterile as any of the institutional care solutions. My mom was here for 4 years and we finally gave up. They kept escalating costs and intrusive care until we were basically forced to move her out. Thank god we did, she would have died of institutional overkill if we didn t get her out. It is pretty. The largely immigrant staff are sweet. The administration is typical, meaning liability- focused and very protective of their image (I.e. hide the less functional residents from prospective families) and cautious. Costs are designed to ratchet up to extraordinary amounts once they get you locked in. My mom (as with others we got to know) were eventually refused access to the pretty dining room because she didn t fit the well-groomed image they wish to project. Not bitter, just giving an honest assessment. They wipe out the reviews periodically (which is why there are only 9 or 10 despite years of operation), so it is hard to get a good picture. My caution is to look at the patients on the memory care and decide if that is what you want for your parent, dcause as they age, they will send your parent there to finish out their time.
