I booked this venue for my wife's birthday. From the moment of arrival we were treated as special guests. Our luggage was collected from the car and delivered to our room. The booking in procedure was friendly, concise and very professional. Once in our room we were offered hot drinks which we accepted and were treated to a delicious selection of pastries. Prior to our evening meal we walked around the gardens. It was the 23rd, March so not much in the way of vegetables. A visit to the poly tunnels revealed lots of seedlings tended by gardeners. No part of the gardens are out of bounds for the visitor and anything asked about was explained. The feeling in the whole of the establishment was one of "We are proud to be here and love to work". It felt special.
An airy restaurant, comfortably furnished was our evening venue. We opted for the taster menu with wine pairing. An absolutely inspired choice.
Although not an everyday occasion, I shall definitely return to this venue on another special event.
