They failed to show up on 3 occasions and when they finally did come, half of the shipment was broken in half. The delivery man had a bad attitude and said, "Yeah, I figured it was broke," leading me to believe it was his mistake. I wasn't upset about it because mistakes happen. But, he told us we'd get a call the next day to schedule the new delivery. We didn't hear from anyone for four days so I had to call them. Apparently, he never logged our delivery or our refusal of the damaged piece so when I called the product company to get information on the status of a redelivery, they had no record of anything and didn't even know what part of the delivery we needed resent. I was eventually told by a manager that the original delivery man kept the damaged product on his truck for over one week, I can only assume because he didn't want them to know he damaged it. I was told we'd receive the new delivery the following week, on Wednesday. I made sure to have him PROMISE. I took off work for the third time and we got a call from Saia on Wednesday, the day of delivery, saying they'd be there between 12 and 7 pm the next day. I said no because I made arrangements to be there today, like they promised, for the third time! The lady gave me a huge attitude and said, "Well, was it actually scheduled for today?" and put me on hold for the supervisor. She came back on the phone and said, "The best we can do is tonight around 7pm." I said that was fine and she hung up on me MID SENTENCE. THEY NEVER CAME. They showed up after 4 o'clock the following day and I refused the delivery saying I already called the product company to issue me a full refund. This delivery man had another attitude telling me "I wish someone had called me to tell me not to come so I could have gone to another customer." I told him I would have appreciated not having to take off work 3 different days only to have them not show up. He also said. "I don't know anything about that" when I told him he was supposed to be here yesterday. Based on this experience and every conversation I have had over the course of 3 weeks with employees at SAIA, it seems they have no sense of responsibility or business ethics of any sort. Every single person I interacted with at this company was rude, acted deceitfully, lied to me just to get me off the phone, failed to communicate with each other or pass information on, and worked at their own leisure not caring about the customer at all. I will not only never use this company again, but they've also lost every possible customer that has since heard my story. After this incident, I call every single company I'm considering buying a product from to make sure they don't do business with SAIA in any way.
