I have a loved one at this facility and also used to be an employee here. I would have never picked this place for someone but I m glad I did and I hurt when I read the reviews. I wish everyone would look at how the world is now days. Short staffing, lazy people and craziness is what the last year has been and will continue to be. I won t say I was happy with my loved one being there but I can tell they are trying and we see the effort. From the floor staff to the upfront staff and with the turn over rate I can only give them and high five for trying. I was greeted by the front desk and she was very helpful. When I went to the floor some were welcoming and some were not. A few stood out to me. The Don is newer and I can see the changes that have been made since the last time I ve been there . I was a cena on the floor in the HC and wow can I just say some of the regular long time staff there have not changed. They were rude and just seemed to not care. The admissions girl is WAY to young and rude. You cant even understand her half the time. There is a dog always there and frankly I am NOT a dog lover so that was irritating especially seeing it all over even in the dining room while they were eating!!! but on the flip side I see the changes being made. More welcoming staff and people trying. Kimbra the housekeeping lady is amazing and always helpful, there is a new guy in charge but I haven t met him yet, the front desk Becky is very helpful for all the craziness up there. The scheduler Suzan for the place which is I bet a nightmare was nothing but smiles and helped us with where to go, she did not just tell us but she physically walked us there and gave a tour which was nice and felt good to be so welcomed. Not only once but these few have always been there and stop what they are doing to make sure WE are taken care of. I always feel a push back from most like we are a nuisance to most the staff there. People can learn from some there with manors and we know everyone is stressed but I have been here a few times and these few employees stick out to me by going above and beyond their duties. I m thankful for the warm welcome I got from some of the most stressed out staff. Shows that people care and want to make a difference! The first shift aide Jamie is soooooo great at what she does and then in afternoons a Tiffany is amazing! I know that my mom is in good hands when I leave or get off the phone. Thank you for having some staff that make a difference and others can learn from the energy these ones give out and their hearts
