There are a lot of web developers out there, many with great talent to create websites based on exactly the way you want your website to look. You write the content, give them a specific look you want, and they create it.

We did this with our first two websites, and had with mediocre results. We had low traffic to our site and no engagement.

I was in talks with a third developer. She wanted to know, yet again, how I wanted my site to look. I told her this: "I need someone to tell me what my site should look like. I'm not in the website development business, you are. Frankly, I don't care if there are purple dancing monkeys on my website...if it makes people respond, then that's what I want." Her reply? She can't do the design to make visitors respond, and it'll cost me thousands of dollars to get a company to help me with the research and design.

After doing some homework, I found Tiny Frog. Their hook for me was that they not only wanted to get people to the sites they create, but they also want them to respond. What a novel concept!! So I signed on with them.

At my first meeting with Tiny Frog after signing, there were five representatives in attendance from their company: a web strategist, an SEO specialist, a designer, a project manager, and the CEO. I immediately felt like I was getting my money's worth and would have a good product. They each had a role: the web strategist sought to understand my clients and what would make them respond, not only from a look-and-feel angle but also from a content angle. The designer worked in harmony with the strategist, while at the meeting, to come up with some design ideas that met those concepts. The project manager put details to the project timeline and milestones. And the SEO specialist shared in the strategy by discussing what he will do. And Mikel, the CEO? He was there to keep the vision for the site at the center of the meeting. He participated as needed and yet left his team to be the experts he hired them to be.

The result? I'm very happy. For once, it's a site I'm proud of. More importantly, I think our clients engage with it much more effectively. We get responses!
