Average hotel in DC. Walking distance to The Mall and the convention center. The staff was friendly, but is there really a need to greet guests by saying "Bon Jour?" The room was an interior room so not a lot of street noise just some trucks beeping in the very early morning. There is a wall thermostat you can easily adjust. Fortunately our neighbors were quiet in the evening because you could hear them clearly through the walls during the day. The thing I hated the most was no bed sheet under the duvet. Also, the sole bathrobe was right next to the toilet, and there were no slippers. The room also had a broken light and house keeping could have cleaned around the base of the bed better. They have a Keurig coffee maker, and a mini-bar. They asked at check-in if we wanted to upgrade for a fee, but chose not to do so. Other hotels upgrade you for free? But I don't know, if you had to be part of their reward program for them to do that.
We didn't park at the hotel because it was expensive, and we didn't eat there either. There's lost of places nearby to grab a bite. Breakfast was also expensive, if you didn't have it bundled with your room rate.
On another note-- we booked through Expedia, and we had to change the reservation. Expedia doesn't allow you to change a reservation. They will cancel the reservation, and hopefully, you can re-book. Luckily the hotel still had rooms with the same rate. (Whew!)
