I think most people in Texas tried at least once the Blue Bell ice cream. It was such a pitty when they shut down the whole factory. It was on the news some years ago, not too many.
Coming back to my experience, I noticed too late that he factory, including the Visitors Center, was closed during the weekend so we couldn't buy any ice cream
Also, we couldn't find any other store that suppose to sell their products. This is a bad thing for their image. A lot of people were having a walk through their parking lot hoping to spot someone to help them test the delicious cream. Yet, nobody was there. Just some nice statues to shoot some pictures at. Disappointed! A lot!
That could be a great plus for the town to have a small section open where people can buy their ice cream locally, a great thing for their marketing and more people to come and visit that factory. Guess what?! Most people have free time over the weekend when the factory is closed. Bad business/marketing.
