Like us, our friends and daughter commented several times how the staff were always busy keeping the grounds and amenities in such good order. It was well maintained, the showers were always hot and clean, the kitchen and laundry were big and clean and well supplied plus there was so much there for the children, even a indoor playground for the young and movies at times. We personally liked the fact it was not one of those big parks where you are lined up like suburbs. The road was paved, the sites all had grass to park on and a solid cement section for your tables a chairs. We highly recommend this place. The fact that Soverign Hill is just walking distance (350mts approx) made it even more of a bonus, we walked there 3 times, (the night show is a MUST see).
On our last morning in camp my husband suffered a heart attack and spent the next 5 days in hospital, the staff bent over over backwards trying to support us in any way they could. My main issues was storing one of the campers which they allowed me to keep to next to our own camper plus when my family members arrived, they were also put in cabins or sited directly next to us. Their constant concern and help they gave me made a difficult time easier to manage and it was one less thing i had to deal with. I THANK the team at Big 4Goldfields Ballarat so much, not only did they help me above and beyond, it was a GREAT place to be staying anyway. THANK YOU everyone, we BOTH hope to come back and visit one day.
