Overall, O Brien provides excellent low-mileage Subaru s within the KBB price range. When I finally talked to the right people, I walked away very happy with my crosstrek.

The thing that kept me from giving them a 5 star review was the first salesperson I was paired with. I ll take a little of the blame by not knowing the exact used cars on the lot that I wanted, but that s it. I test drove a crosstrek and an outback, and was at first drawn to the outback.

The first salesperson put me in a used 2017 outback and told me it was the used 2018 (easy to do, they were the same color and only had minor exterior differences) and even tried to sell it to me at the 2018 price...I guess he thought he could pull a fast one on me. Once I went home that day (he tried VERY hard to close me onsite then and there) to crunch some numbers after saying he was willing to come down, I looked again at the website and realized the trick he was trying to pull, and got really frustrated. After going back and addressing the trick he was trying to pull, he tried to tell me that I was the one that was confused and that prices change all the time he was trying to convince me that the 2017 outback went down in price over $4,000 over the weekend!

I was really upset at this point. After realizing that the REAL 2018 was truly out of my price range, I went back and dealt with a different sales rep, and was able to close on the original crosstrek that I drove. They were willing to work with me as we negotiated the trade in value of my car. In hindsight, I should ve done this a lot sooner because the other salespeople I dealt with were no BS, to the point, and willing to work with me. They also matched the pre-paid loan interest rate that I had already obtained.

All in all it was a good learning experience, and I m very happy with my crosstrek. Do your research beforehand so you know which car is which, but they have a wide variety of excellent quality used cars to put you in no doubt about that!
