I had my 1999 Corolla serviced and parts replaced on 4/1/2021. A service technician left the brake fluid reservoir top/cap off after brake system flush service. I discovered this potentially dangerous mistake after receiving my car back and driving away a short distance. Additionally, after making right this mistake, WD-40 was used to wipe down much of the engine compartment component surfaces. I will be smelling WD-40 fumes into the vehicle passenger compartment for some length of time. I hope the mishap with the brake fluid reservoir cap was an anomaly. I always thoroughly check the engine compartment after getting my vehicle back concerning any service performed.
