A series of debacles greeted us this evening. First of all, there is only a small sign indicating the turn in to the hotel. Second, the hotel is under construction and we were not informed of such at the time of booking. Third, our keys had expired and required a trip back down to the lobby. Fourth, there is no signage indicating which direction to go for your room. Fifth, the rooms are very warm and it seems the only adjustment that can be done is turning the fan on in incremental speeds and off. Sixth, when I went back down to the lobby to ask about getting wine glasses I was told that despite there being a bar in the lobby, I would have to walk down to TGIFridays to ask for glasses. The front desk clerk, Jamse was helpful and kind. Other than that, the customer service, and overall atmosphere have great opportunity for improvement. So far, I am disappointed but hopeful.
The breakfast buffet staff was very very kind, even keeping it going past 10AM for us. The food was pretty good. I was concerned about the construction works on scaffolding and using power tools without hard hats as I ate my breakfast, though.
