I have hesitated to write a review but it has been 2 years since my mom spent her last 24 hours of life at Lancaster Manor, sadly if there was a 0 rating I would give it. I can t believe there is no history on google search of the conditions of the second floor of Lancaster manor- I placed my mom in hospice there after looking on website In a rush as my mom was being released from hospital that day. website shows a nice environment with professional staff- when we got there I was relieved as we walked through the first floor to the elevator .. then she was placed on second floor, there are no pictures of this environment that I can find on their web page it was like stepping into a scary movie I m ashamed it took me this long to write a review. No air conditioning working in room dated is a compliment, I was afraid to sit on the cloth chair in the room- staff was not in uniform like the first floor- charge nurse was horribly over worked with high numbers as I asked and she was assigned around 48 people if I remember correctly - It was heartbreaking, old furniture in hallways, scratches and gashes in walls, because of my advocating my mom was moved to first floor by the morning where she soon passed- 2 Years later I still think of this experience and the people who live on the second floor- please take your time, look at the whole facility when making a decision to place your loved one - I regret my decision and it s very hard as you don t have a lot of time when put in that situation please do your research when considering a placement here .
