Stay away! Guest beware! Very disappointed in this hotels staff. The hotel itself is beautiful but watch your belongings as I had mine taken! I stayed at the JW for a golf tournament. Fort starters, the hotel was over booked. It took almost an hour and half to check in. And when we had gotten to our room, it was on the opposite side of the rest of the group and on the bottom floor in the back of the hotel. The lake smelled and the balcony was filthy. It was a horrible experience needless to say. On top of all this the golf department lost my clubs for 3 hours and gave me attitude as if it were my fault THEY miss placed them! I was pissed. Further more, once we a group or 22 were on the course at our appropriate time, the starter had messed up and over booked the course and we sat in 100+ weather for over an hour. It was miserable!!! Finally to top it all off, I left an expensive custom outfitted iPad on the desk in my room in my haste to get out of the hotel the next morning. Upon realizing this I drove 35 miles back through traffic to recover it and the room had been cleaned and no iPad turned in yet. I called for a week and was very difficult to get someone to help me recover the device. I had my company track it and someone in the Palm Springs area had used it and removed the signal application. Sad that they have employees that have no heart or character!I I was forced to pay over $868 + tax to reconfigure a new device for my business and it took almost 7 months to reconfigure a new device for my business and finally get back on tract. It was the most costly and disappointing I will never stay or Golf here again. Indian wells is much better course down the street as well as the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells or even the Embassy Suites is a better hotel and better located. I am in the hotel industry and well known and this is the last hotel I would ever recommend in this area! Hope this saves someone a nightmare experience!
