Parking could be better (especially for $25!!) Once you navigate your way to the RSL entrance AFTER us being told to move to another carpark and that you NEED to have a paypass card to pay the fee as you can't pay with cash. You are atleast welcomed to quite a modern refurbished establishment with beautiful waterfront views of North and south cronulla and Captain Cook Point. Currently there is some construction underway.
We ate at the 'watergrill' restaurant, whilst the food was OK, it was a little too pricey for what it was... A Portuguese burger on Turkish was $27! The pork belly dish I had was $32, surprisingly these were some of the cheapest items on the menu. Most meals ranged between $32-$45 which in my opinion is excessive for RSL dining. The Asian fusion influence clearly evident in the menu seemed somewhat confusing... A dish advertised as 'Tapas' said it includes duck spring rolls with hoisin sauce... Not my idea of tapas!
Service was quick however and also mostly friendly, however eating my pork belly with a butter knife despite having asked for a steak knife was ridiculous!
Overall the location is very nice as is the decor and is fairly kid friendly, prices are a bit expensive for the quality and size, and the menu I found a tad too ambitious/pretentious.
