My air conditioning compressor quit turning on. I called three places to get estimates because I didn't want to do the work due to how involved it is to access my compressor. The two quotes that I received before calling Paradise we're a $150 for troubleshooting on the low end, on the high end one was $1,200 and the other was $1,500. Once I called the dealership I spoke to a gentleman on the phone, who mentioned that if your coolant is low there is a pressure switch that will cut power to the compressor to keep the compressor from destroying itself. He recommended that I try to refill the coolant for the air conditioner and see if the compressor began running after I refilled the coolant level. I went straight away to O'Reilly's and purchased a $44 can of R134a and checked the charge. Sure enough my charge was at 0. I refilled it until the compressor kicked on and it is working perfectly. I did not get the name of the gentleman who I spoke to however he saved me a ton of money. Thank you!
