Some of the rudest people in the entire south Florida area work here, and have for as long as I've lived here: over ten years. They make the adoption process unpleasant and difficult, instead of the happy and exciting moment and memory that it should be. While they act as though they are personally responsible for doubting and scrutinizing your ability to care for a pet, they convey the sentiment that they would rather see the animal continue to live locked in a cage at the facility than go home with an adoptive family. Their pretentious and disagreeable attitudes will rob any joy from your adoption experience. Can't say "rude" enough when describing these employees.. Why these people who so CLEARLY do not belong in the family/animal service business continue to be stationed at the Humane Society for more than a decade I cannot fathom.. My advice: the most positive way to adopt a pet from the humane society is by going to Petsupermarket and adopting a resident pet from them.
