I would have selected NO STAR if I could've, but you had to check one to activate the review.....I read the reviews and we took a chance with my father-in law being placed there for rehab to get him on his feet again, so he could go home and live for himself the way he was before he had a sprained ankle.
Parking is limited during the day and weekdays because of all the employees, but plenty of space at nights and on the weekends.
The PT personnel, Raven & Sophia, we're fantastic, but the good things to say about this place end there. The nurses were rude, had no time for questions or concerns, and please don't ask a nurse that's not assigned to your loved one a question or for something like a bed pan because they act like they would rather slap you than help you.
And why a bed pan? Well when they give an immobile patient a stool softener because they are constipated, you may want to be forewarned they will have a B.M. without delay, so don't get p.o'd when they have one in their bed because a nurse didn't answer the buzzer for a half-hour and you now have a clean-up. As far as that, if the patient doesn't have someone there at the time visiting and on the staff to do the clean-up, they lay in excrement for an hour or more, then they get chapped like a baby who is left lying in a filthy diaper.
When my father-in law appeared out of it and in need of real hospital medical care, and my sister-in law demanded an ambulance be called at 8 PM one night, the night nurse told her if he was fine, but if she wanted an ambulance to call one herself. When she did and the ambulance from Annapolis Fire showed up, they were just as ride to them, to the point my sister-in-law had to go out to the nurse's station herself and direct them to his room for transport to Anne Arundel Medical Center where great and fantastic care was provided by wonderful and professional people.
Once at the hospital my wife and sister-in-law were told by a real qualified doctor, "You did the right thing bringing him here. Your dad's suffering from edema (build up of fluid, in particular around the heart), and his heart was struggling to work". This answered the question earlier at Spa Creek from family of, "Why is my dad always sleeping?", and their answer was, "That's his bodies way of resting". NO ITS NOT!!! That's his bodies way of dying!!!!!
When he gets released from AAMC, he WILL NOT be going back to Spa Creek. Just wished we could have Raven & Sophia come to the new place and continue the fine PT work they were doing.
Do not let your loved one go to this place if they are a loved one!!!
