Great place to visit for tourists. There's an incredible Museum about St Louis as the Gateway to the West. The museum is part of the Arch National Park. From the museum you go and get into small capsules and rotate up the arch like a Giant Wheel. Once up top you can look through several rectangular porthole windows on either side of the arch and look out over St Louis or the Mississippi River.
