It was such a great experience to purchase my 2012 Chevy Volt from Paradise Chevrolet Cadillac in Temecula, CA. Through out a long negotiation process (from evening to midnight), they allowed me to use their computers with Excel to calculate lease options in my own way while I was considering lease instead of the eventual decision of owing this vehicle. Beside they did not use any old school high pressure sales tactic as probably other many dealers are still using nowadays, the finance associate, Matt and a manager name Steve with accounting background were highly interested in my Excel worksheet calculation of overall costs of through out the leasing of a PHEV including projected gas savings. My sales associate, Joe was very nice and friendly even I kept teasing him during the negotiation.

A day after I started the lease, I found the Chevy Volt is a very attractive car with unique characteristic unlike any others Hybrid or EV currently on the market, and the on going $7,500 federal tax credit is only available for PHEV owners. Therefore, I decided to own Volt instead of lease. I simply went back to the dealership with my earliest generation 04 Acura TSX (physically born in March, 2003; close to 200K miles on odometer) and get a no hassle and reasonable price for trade-in. Then, the finance manager, Tammy gave me an exact discount purchase price as original lease capitalization cost, plus 72-month 0% no interest finance because of my great credit. Finally, they offered me a ride back to home in a brand new Cadillac ATS.
