This was a great race track, the first I ve ever experienced. My mates and I came from out of town, and by the time we arrived, all of the parking passes had been sold, so we parked at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. We took a Lyft to the track at the designated drop off point and walked in, which was easy enough. The venue was quite interesting, and could be walked around very easily. This year s US Grand Prix was sold out, so there were people absolutely everywhere. A few small criticisms, with the first being how by Turn 1, there was no visible screen during the F1 race, which was rather a bummer. Secondly, when my mates and I tried to get on the track at the conclusion of the race, it was absolute madness and a crush developed by the front gate, and many people were getting squished together, and in the mayhem, someone lost a shoe and got trampled, but were largely okay. Lastly, the big one was trying to get a ride share out of there. We waited for over an hour after the race, and the wait for an Uber or Lyft never got past 30 minutes, so we ended up walking 10 miles to the airport back to our truck. This was rather absurd, and I understand not much can be done, but there was no real good way for us to get out of there. Food was priced as expected for an event like this, but the selection was quite good.
