The normally excellent Dreamcakes let us down for Thanksgiving. Our chocolate turkey pound cake was as dry as a rock. I called and told them (I would want the same) because I know they want to maintain the quality name recognition that they have always enjoyed. And they thanked me for letting them know and said they hoped that they would please us in the future. (Note - no mention of comping my expense or a freebie in the future to make up for our disappointment.) However, I'll just stick with the Dreamcakes cupcakes in the future, and go back to my previously used name brand bakery for specialty cakes.
