I will start with the hotel appearance and room experience. The exterior of the hotel and the room were exactly as I expected from the hotel website and pictures. Front desk at check in was pleasant and quick. However, now let me start with all of the negatives of this trip and the hotel. The room, paper thin walls, the doors aren t much better. My current room was on the 7th floor executive level and wow every single kid in Columbus and obnoxious parent must have decided to stay at this hotel and coincidentally on this floor. Every minute or two someone opens the door and allows it to slam shut, it s as if I m in their room how loud it is. The breakfast, listen if the breakfast was included in my room rate I wouldn t say a word it would have been good enough but for the nearly $40 per day for 2 people to have a basic breakfast I expect more than egg beaters (especially when the shelled eggs are right next to the bowl of beaters), soggy bacon and potatoes that are honestly horrific. Next time I will save the breakfast charge and visit the local ihop at least there I know it will be bad before I go in. Now I will complain about the sundry area. Just because the room cost x dollars and this isn t a Howard Johnson and I could afford to pay for it (anniversary weekend thanks for the extra noise that was unfortunately free for me, the only free thing here but still I do appreciate it) you would think this hotel thinks you may be stupid and overcharges for everything. Bottled water 4 bucks, 3 ounce trail mix 5 dollars, a bag of single serving chips 5 dollars and my favorite a single serving couple ounce frozen yogurt 6 bucks. Lolol, you guys really are slightly funny, you take supply and demand to a whole other level. Now the parking situation or lack there of I should say. At roughly 400 a night one would think they could park without having to chase other cars in the lot to attempt and get a spot remotely close, again one would think, fat chance here. Lastly and I suppose this one is on me, how about if you re hosting a conference and weddings where the other guests may have or could be inconvenienced by all that is going on, you could forewarn people when they call. Again I know you want to sell rooms since you are in that business but what it does do is potentially, let me rephrase that, guarantees that certain people will not revisit your fine establishment. Again probably on me for not asking hey are you hosting a national conference in your hotel this weekend along with a onsite wedding ? As I wind this down, let me recap. Room, as expected in how it looks and cleanliness. Front desk, great, nice and courteous. Food, horrific. Noise, I ve had more peaceful sleeping arrangements at a Hampton Inn. Parking, come early and never ever move your car until you are checking out, just make sure you do everything across the street at Easton.
