I went with my sister exactly 1 week ago to get her wedding dress, while we were there the associate that helped her seemed nice enough, her name was Jessica. The problem is that Jessica assured my sister that the dress she was purchasing was alterable, which was one of the biggest factors for my sister cause her wedding is in one month. Upon taking the dress to a seamstress to have it altered, the seamstress told my sister that the dress was wayyy to big and couldn't believe that this dress was sold to her, the dress needed to be completely reconstructed and was gonna cost my sister a ton of money. She contacted Brick House Bridal and explained what the seamstress said and asked for help with the situation, she had told them she had a budget and that she had to have a dress that was alterable and so she needed a different dress. The Manager that she spoke with said she was sorry they couldn't help her cause ultimately she bought the dress so it's hers now. She told them that she understands they don't do refunds and she wasn't asking for her money back she just needed a different dress and the manager just said No, maybe she should try a different seamstress. I think this shows a HUGE lack of customer service and that is NO way to do business. First of all, they shouldn't have associates helping brides but a dress and assuring them the dress is alterable if it's not, she would have never bought the dress if it wasn't said over and over again that it would be fine. She doesn't work in the dress business she was depending on them to do right by her and give her good and correct information & when they didn't all she wanted was a different dress, not her money back, just exchange the unalterable dress for an actual alterable dress. bridal shops should be concerned with actually helping the bride with their special day, They should be more concerned with actually having good customer service then apparently ripping people off and just taking their money. It's amazing what word of mouth can do, and I will always discourage people from shopping there!
