I ve been taking my Audi A6 to Mission Viejo Audi ...

I ve been taking my Audi A6 to Mission Viejo Audi for service for 4 years. Usually the service reps are very friendly and communicate well, not anymore! I took my car in for its scheduled service which was a minor service with oil and filter change and pollen filter change. Dropped it off around 8:30 AM. I also asked my rep, Jorge to also look into a sound I noticed coming from engine compartment. I was told it would b ready that afternoon. I didn t get a call all day. I called around 4 before leaving work to see if the car is ready. I called twice within 15 minuets and Jorge was not available. Called a third time and another rep told me Jorge would call me back in 10-15 minuets. Didn t hear back for another 40 minuets telling me my car wouldn t be ready and needs a part for the engine sound. He said he d check with the warranty company and let me know if it was covered. I got another call back from him at 7:00 pm telling me that the warranty office closes at 7 and he ll have to check tomorrow.
I find out the next day the part is not covered. The repair costs $1,400 plus another $1,228 to replace front brakes. I understand dealer prices are higher but what bothered me is the lack of communication and knowledge and inability to explain the problem. The rep didn t seem to care. When I went to pick up the car the cashier asked me to wait and speak with Jorge who was talking to a lady. I waited 15 minuets in the waiting area. I told the cashier if another rep talk to me. She took the paperwork from Jorge s desk and I paid. No one ever gave me any details on why the repairs cost $1,400 if the front brake job included rotors...
The paper work I received literally says: engine concern $1407.28 ... front brakes $1228... .
I will take my car to a different dealership/ repair shop, where they can explain what they are doing.
