Imagined by the Getty himself and scene in the movie, All the money in the world as just an idea, we are now able to see it in real life. Getty Villa is an amazing place to spend an afternoon or the day enjoying art and the spectacular view of Malibu and the Pacific Ocean. Even the drive through Malibu getting to the Village South is beautiful and part of the experience. The entry is free of charge, you only have to pay for the parking. Be mindful that you have to reserve parking online, as long as you do it with plenty of time before you go and visit the Getty Villa you should not have a problem reserving the parking. The parking itself ranges from $15 to $20. I would suggest paying for the parking before you go.

Unlike the Getty Center, you can see the art collection at the Getty Villa in less than a day and still have time for a beautiful lunch. The permanent art collection consists of Greek, Roman and Etruscan works and there is also a special exhibit of interest that is also included. Usually, it relates to the permanent collection - but it can also be a collections of Mayan or Aztec artifacts. There are audio guides available if you like roaming the property by yourself taking the time to enjoy every piece highlighted on the audio tour. For those who are interested, there are also free guided tours that are available, but you would have to check the times that they take place. Besides the collection in the museum, I would advise you to stroll around the beautiful property and be transported to Italy, feeling like you are visiting a Roman, or even feel like you were transported back in time ..... And, don't miss the herb garden adjacent to one side of the museum. There are stairs that we have used, but there are also elevators that are available for use.

The restaurant offers sandwiches and meals. You can order at the counter, where you are given a number on a little stand which you place on your table, and the food is brought to you. You can choose to sit inside and enjoy the luxuries of modern air conditioning or choose to sit outside and enjoy the stunning beautiful views and the fresh Pacific Ocean Breeze.

The outdoor gardens, fountains, and pools of the Villa dei Papiri (Reimagined) are beautiful and the amazing collection of classical art and architecture from Greek and Roman times are well worth a visit if you are in the area
