I've been to this hospital many times for chronic abdominal pain. Over half of my stays here have been nightmares. I was treated with disrespect and belittled. Nobody took my worries seriously and I was in a state of weakness, unable to speak up for myself. The doctors kept making me feel uncomfortable and I was given an antipsychotic for pain. I began vommiting and my heart raced and I had never felt worse. I couldn't talk but they could see i was having a bad reaction to it and nothing was done. and I am now extremely afraid of hospitals, nurses and doctors. You people should be ashamed of yourselves. There are a few good people there and I thank you so very much for treating me like a human. I asked for pain medicine once and this nurse started saying she didn't hear anything from the Dr about it and I said yes i know because I just now asked. She then lectured me about it and I told her I'd been on it before and knew everything she was saying. She then snapped at me and said "I AM NOT GOING TO FORCE THE DOCTOR TO GIVE YOU NARCOTICS!" and I was so taken aback. I said I didn't ask her for anything yet and she just said Oh. I'll ask. No apology. And the doctor gave me some. I told him about the nurse and all he said was that happens sometimes with misscomunication. Also no sorry. I hate that you are the only hospital around.
