Beaches Ocho Rios Resort & Golf Club Boscobel We'll take your money...no problem

Our son had a minor accident while we were on site and this apparently is a profit center for Beaches. Management just didn't care and took zero responsibility for the fact the stairs in the children s water park were so slick they felt oiled. However, they had no issues with the exorbitant fees of over $800 for 2 stitches and various medical supplies with a value of roughly $50 US. After the incident no one from management bothered to check on my son and after complaining I was told management would contact me, they never did.

More mundane issues were the kids club was closed more than it was open and after the little time they spent there the kids didn t want to go back. The food was standard all inclusive fare and that was to be expected, but getting my son sick was not. Make sure if you go you bring anti-nausea meds. The front line resort staff was friendly gracious and as accommodating as they could be.
The check in process was tedious, we arrived at 2PM and our room was not ready for several hours. After getting up at 4 AM to travel to the resort including a 2 hour taxi ride from the airport, the last thing I wanted to do was go eat lunch in street clothes. However, the concierge front desk insisted on it and never offered a place to change and get comfortable, pretty much wasting an afternoon that could have been spent by the pool or at the beach.

To date no one from Beaches has contacted me to make an effort to reimburse us for the medical costs due to their liability. They did make a serious effort to get the review pulled from other sites though. Go elsewhere.
