Its a really affordable and clean place to stay in downtown LA. Very convenient by bus or metro rail. As one can tell the area is in a state of transition. Ive hardly seen areas with boarded up buildings and expensive lofts on the same block. On one hand there are all kinds of restaurants and clubs that are near the hotel but on the other hand the area largely east of Main and especially Los Angeles Street is still Skid Row, which is very run down and a definite no go at night. Still the owners of Stay have done a 5 star job in turning around what was once one of LAs most notorious and dirty places of lodging!!!!!
