Is there no way to give 0 stars? My mother-in-law...

Is there no way to give 0 stars? My mother-in-law was sent home after 3 days in worse shape than when she was admitted. Family members spoke with the doctors, but never saw one. Furthermore, she was sent home by ambulette in an open hospital gown, with her street clothes thrown in a bag. My father-in-law complained, and both the attending physician and the social worker were less than helpful in addressing why she was discharged in that condition. Who does that? Who enters the field of medicine, a helping field, then disregards the dignity of the very people they're supposed to help?

I grew up on Long Island, and Mercy Hospital was well-regarded. The change is disturbing, and it certainly won't be the hospital of choice for this family ever again.

Additional information, learned later: My mother-in-law was wrapped in a sheet when she was transported, and when "unwrapped", it was found that her feet were swollen and purple/black. The family had to call an ambulance within 5 hours of her discharge from Mercy- she was admitted to a different area hospital, where she remains in ICU on a ventilator, feeding tube, and pressors. She was diagnosed with pneumonia-- within hours of discharge from Mercy. Bad job, good riddance!
