As a general rule I like this restaurant, hence the 4 stars. However, what I do not like is being pacified with falsehoods. I can accept that they "got busy right after my order came in"; and I can almost accept the 2 hours and 40 minutes it took to get my order. The passive misrepresentation of facts is what has irritated me today. I called about an hour and a half into my wait and was told the "slammed" story but was assured my food was t sitting around and would be fresh. I called at the 2 hour mark and was told again that it was "cooked fresh and I would be the first delivery and the driver was out with my food". Well, 40 minutes later when it got here it was cold and stale. The first mistake was telling me that they got "slammed after I placed my order." Why would orders after mine impact mine? Did those orders that came in after me get their food sooner? How about the driver is bringing it? The store is 2.6 miles from my home, I could have walked there and back between my first call when I was told it was on its way and when it actually got here. Finally, why didn't they make my order fresh before they sent it to me? My guess is, closing time came and went. In the future, instead of attempting to pacify the customer with obvious lies, simply be honest. "Hey, we got busy, your food got lost in the shuffle, hope you have a microwave!" Thanks.
