Cornerstone is Shady

Cornerstone is Shady
I lived in a Cornerstone property for two years. During our stay my roommate and I were phenomenal tenants. We paid on time every single month, we had zero complaints, we did zero damage the property, and we had very few maintenance requests. At the end of our second lease we moved out; right on time just like we were supposed too. In preparation of the move we gathered all our belongings from the property and cleaned it to its original state. Leaving only the house keys, the mail keys, and the garage remotes behind. The place was absolutely spotless.
However, days later our property managers (Tom Lorenzen, Charlie Hogan) informed us that we would not be getting our $1,500 security deposit back because we did not give 30 days written notice of vacating. I was baffled. We left the exact day the lease ended, dream tenants. There was no warning from Cornerstone, they sent zero emails, made no phone calls, and it was NOT written in the lease. But they insisted it was standard policy. They took complete advantage of us and threw the entire relationship away over a few bucks. I didn t feel like taking them to small claims court over a lousy $1500 but I m sure I would win. I told them I would be giving poor reviews and they didn t care. So true to my word here you go; if you are considering moving into a cornerstone property, DON T. They will screw you anyway they can. Thee end.
