My girlfriend and I booked a full day snowmobiling...

My girlfriend and I booked a full day snowmobiling tour and it was the highlight of our holiday trip to the Rockies. From the moment we were picked up at our hotel until the moment we were dropped off we had an absolute blast. Upon arrival, we were given all the necessary gear free of charge (snowmobile suits, gloves, goggles, etc.), we were given a safety brief regardless of our level of expertise driving snowmobiles (it was the first time for most of us) and we were separated into groups of 6 drivers per guide.
During the first 20-30 minutes we also had a guide driving in the back to make sure everyone was okay and to help with any tip overs, but after that we all felt pretty comfortable driving at a faster pace and got to explore alternative trails as well. Our guide was very nice and made several stops to make sure everyone was fine and to give instructions on how to drive through the next section of the trail, we also stopped for hot chocolate and cookies and to take pictures before having bbq at 7,000 ft.
My girlfriend and I both drove a standard snowmobile instead of opting for an upgrade, and maybe this is the reason why at times we struggled to keep up with the rest of our group (we were the last two). At some point during our descent my girlfriend tipped over a deep snow bank and we had to wait for our guide to come look for us and help her get back on track. However, soon after reuniting with our group and continuing our descent, we got so far behind the rest of our group that we couldn t see them anymore and eventually reached a point in the trail where we had to choose to either go up a path to an alternative trail or follow the arrows to the standard trail. We had a 50/50 chance of going in the wrong way (our guide had told everyone in our group that if we hadn t seen anyone for a long time we were most likely lost and that he would come find us) but luckily after about ten minutes driving alone we got reunited with our group which had stopped and waited for us to receive instructions on one of the last sections of the trail.
Overall this is a once in a lifetime experience and well worth your money, my girlfriend and I would love to come back. The staff is very nice and friendly, the guides are outstanding, the food is delicious and the views are breathtaking. However, maybe a second guide could drive in the back of the group during the descent or drivers could have a way of communicating with their guides such as walkie talkies to help people feel more comfortable and save time in case of tip overs or any other issues. Also, another way to make this tour even more memorable could be having the option to purchase one or two professional pictures of oneself while in action to reminisce the experience.
