I'm a unit owner in a condominium WPM manages. The condo fees are above average and the service is below average.
When repairs need to be done to common areas, they do not seem to look for competitive providers. Everything takes twice as long as the estimate we're given even though the financial statements show that we're paying a premium.
When improvements are done, they don't have a designer. Our "upgraded" hallways consist of grey tiles, grey carpets, and pale green doors.
For common services like key fobs, parking passes, booking the elevator, etc you have to call the receptionist. Roll the dice on whether she picks up. Leave a message. Rolls the dice again on whether she returns your call.
Resident managers often treat requests as a personal inconvenience rather than a customer service opportunity.
If I were involved in the decision making process, we would have another property management company. I mailed in my application in to run for the board. I called in a couple weeks before the election to check if they had it. Of course it went to voicemail and they didn't return my call. When they finally told me they didn't have it (they lost it) it was too late. Better luck in a couple years.
I'm relieved to be leaving the condo. Find another company.
