It is a bit scary, buying an older home. I had heard horror stories in the past, about home inspectors showing up and spending only a few minutes looking at the place. That was obviously not the case with Doug, who provided us with an extremely detailed report (he told us he spent about 5 hours there). He also spent a long time on the phone with us, explaining everything and patiently answering our questions. I definitely feel as though I got my money's worth out of this inspection.
