On Thursday November 5th 2018 around 12pm. the Department of Public Works was spraying pretreatment on the roadways prior to snowfall. You can tell the roads were treated as they had a dark sheen to them. As I approached a stop sign at the intersection of mill plain road and brookside drive, my antilock brakes engaged and I slid into the intersection almost getting into an accident. Again, no precipitation had fallen and there was no ice on the road... I slid because of his pretreatment the Department of Public Works puts on the road.

It boggles my mind that the town and state use this pretreatment when it is this slippery. It is used to prevent ice yet it is like ice when it is still wet or not mixed or applied properly. No snow has fallen yet and the roads are dry except for this dangerous pretreatment the town uses. Any local or state government that uses this product is open to a huge lawsuit if it causes a wreck. This stuff might as well be called liquid ice for all I'm concerned. The town and state should immediately stop using this.
