And in the year 1369 AH, King Abdul Aziz ordered the establishment of the College of Sharia in Mecca, to become the first established university educational institution in the country. It is the nucleus of this university, Umm Al-Qura University, and its mother college. Umm Al-Qura University, despite its recent establishment in its current structure and demarcation, remains one of the most distinguished universities due to its location, its history, and its registration for a number of priorities and increases.
