If you don't have an excursion planned that day don't bother having to deal with tenders stay on the boat the small tourist village isn't anything special and the tall confining walls with barbed wire arnt very comforting. The bars are okay but arnt nearly as fun as most Caribbean bars or what you would be expecting. With that being said Belize is a fairly new with its independence and seems like the area is cleaning up a lot. It has a lot of potential.
