I recently did PADI Open Water Dive course with Adrenalin and after completing the confined water component at the local pool I boarded the MV Sea Esta for a 3 night 3 day live aboard dive trip.

I'm 58 years old and had never dived before so I was a little nervous. The crew really looked after me and gave me the confidence I needed to complete the course and earn my certification. The other divers were also very encouraging and friendly and there was a great social vibe throughout the trip.

The skipper Paul was unbelievably knowledgeable and all Adrenalin staff were friendly, experienced and supportive, and there was a clear focus on safety on every dive. I would recommend taking seasickness medication along as we encountered a decent swell at times (possibly up to 2m) while in open ocean moving between different dive sites, so I was glad I had it with me. I took it at night before going to sleep so not to be affected by drowsiness prior to diving. I was prepared for the conditions so my enjoyment of the trip was not diminished.

The dive sites didn't disappoint, with amazing corals and an abundance of beautiful fish and other marine life: I experienced some truly magical places! I didn't end up diving the Yongala wreck on the final day as I was feeling tired but I'm very keen to go back for a day trip soon.

This was a budget trip so the vessel is not luxurious, and while the food wasn't fancy it was good and plentiful. It's an older boat but absolutely adequate. This trip was really good value for money and I will definitely be doing it again.

Thank you Adrenalin Snorkel & Dive for a wonderful experience
