I have been seeing a physician at the Fayetteville office for about a year and a half. My only complaint is with the front desk receptionists. One in particular has a habit of trying to be the boss, unfortunately it just makes her look pathetic and it makes me less likely to continue receiving treatment there. She uses "policy" as the excuse for her ridiculous decisions. Recently, I was not feeling well and went to my appointment hoping to be in and out quickly. I was told that I would not be "checked-in" until I filled out paperwork that I had been given at a prior appointment. I had no problem with filling the paperwork out while I waited to be called back and then finish it in the back after the nurse came to get me. Well, I was told that "policy" required that I fill the paperwork out and then be checked in. This receptionist was new and trained by the worst receptionist that works there, so I just sat down. I spoke to a sweet nurse who went up to the other receptionist and was quickly given the "policy" speech, and then told that her supervisor had conveniently not arrived, so I was unable to speak with her. So I waited forever and just felt terrible the entire time. I overheard another patient complaint about "the girl with the red hair" being rude. It's one thing to do your job and try to adhere to protocol, but it's another thing to be smart and realize that you are dealing with a human being who deserves just as much respect as the next person. It's sad when you are just treated without any sort of human decency or consideration of circumstances. My treatment was basically held hostage because of a receptionists power trip. I do want to point out the fact that one receptionist in particular has always treated me with kindness and decency. Her name is Bre, and I really appreciate her.
