One of the better Doubletree properties with good ...

One of the better Doubletree properties with good HHonors elite recognition. It is not located in the centre of Cape Town, but this is mitigated by their shuttle service from the hotel to the Waterfront area - which can be improved if there was an additional service in the morning and a later service back to the hotel. Other than that, although the area around the hotel is a mix of new and old buildings, it seems to be a safe area. There is a supermarket (Spar) about 15 mins walk from the hotel and lots of smaller local shops. A couple of streets away, there are some good restaurants. Staff are in general friendly. Rooms are nice and roomy with a view of Table mountain (if you are on the correct side) or the part of Cape Town harbour. Breakfast is good - with a mix of local and western options. The hotel is attached to a small mall with different type of shops and a Korean restaurant. There is a gym and on-site spa but no pool (though not an issue based on the long ongoing water crisis in the region). Will return if I am in the area.
