They do not value their members because they already have your money. You wait longer in line to enter than non-members. The parking lot is filled with people using mass transit. Exhibits are regularly malfunctioning or inoperable and are only repaired or refreshed by private donors. Omnimax/ art of the brick cost significantly extra.
