The library is therefore open to everyone. It follows that it is overcrowded. What generates at certain periods (like during the revisions of the BAC and Christmas holidays) an immense queue. It sometimes takes an hour and a half or two hours to enter. Then you have to find a place. It's a place where you don't feel safe. You must keep your belongings (computer, handbag ...) in front of you and watch them. Apparently there are pickpockets and frequent thefts. The announcement made regularly during the day confirms this. It is a library that should be avoided if you want to work calmly and concentrate. The positive point is that, to my knowledge, the Parisian library remains open the latest. They take you out around 9:45 p.m. for an effective closure at 10 p.m. It is also one of the few libraries open on Sundays and during the Christmas holidays.
