I'm so upset at the admitting department. My daughter had a major surgery today. She had Osteosarcoma so we have spent a LOT of time at the Hospital. Never had an issue. They have always been wonderful. Yesterday while speaking with the surgery nurse I explained to her that my husband and I would be coming the day of the surgery then my husband had to leave. On Saturday I have to leave and my mother would be coming. Surgery nurse does not say we cannot do this. We go to admitting nothing mentioned. On the floor I'm told my mother cannot come, and I cannot leave. Had I known this previously I would have made other arrangements. The past year we have not been at the Hospital, their protocols have really went down the drain. Having a child in the Hospital is stressful enough. They do not need to increase the stress. This should have been addressed on the very 1st phone call. Throughly disappointed in their admitting process.
