One more day and we go home. I spent 10 days in this resort to say the least ... perfect, impeccable organization, extraordinary hospitality, almost ... obsessive cleaning, eating to be confused for variety and quality. I love the Maldives and over the years this is the seventh island I visit. I must recognize that only high professionalism can allow the management of over 1000 tourists together.
Only one criticism and for this I have not put 5 stars. I turn to the Management, so much quality and beauty and then you slip me on an excursion ... terrible. the Moon Lagon. Cost $ 66 and a small discount. Destination snorkeling in a coral reef and following a desert island called Robinson Crusoe '. Wonderful!! Alas, this is true: after 30 minutes by motorboat, the coral reef was a stream of gray, the fish? Maybe they were on vacation ... let's not be discouraged, the deserted island awaits us. The motorboat takes us back to our main island and they tell us that the deserted island is the one in front (100 meters) we go down and we see cranes and sheds in front. Let's not despair. Inside the islet they offer us a lunch actually on the Robinson type, but a little diet after so much eating is good. Soon, however, we realize that we are in the middle between a plastic landfill and one of moldy coconuts. My partner and I ask if we can go back ... we can't. The last emotion is missing: the little man who has to come and get us is half an hour late, an opportunity to live half an hour as a castaway, ... like Robinson Crusoe '. With sympathy and gratitude I invite the Management not to lose so much perfection just for ... $ 66.
One last and proper observation, I recognize that I certainly lack objectivity in the judgment, because the Maldives of the first trip remain in my heart ... in 1980, when the Maldives were an unspoiled paradise, with the backdrops as color palettes and when you it was almost difficult to swim from too many fish. And to think that then I had the courage to complain about the imperfect organization of the Maldivians. Thanks Sun Island. Claudio and Maria
