I will have completed the CMHC MA program next week and will be so happy to be done with my nightmare of an experience dealing the program director and my faculty advisor. There is a complete lack of communication in the program leaving students anxious and frustrated. It s near impossible to get in contact with the program director and my faculty advisor was not any better. I had to deal with their lack of professionalism for almost 2 years. I would hear from my advisor once a semester and my program director only leading up to required residencies. This being my last semester, I tried to be assertive as I could be professionally to make sure grades were in and that all the required paperwork was submitted. After not hearing back from the director or my advisor when they promised me answers by a certain day, I was left having to reach out again. In the responses I would get from them both, they were rude and trying to downplay the anxiety I was feeling. The education I received at Union was good but it was not worth the frustrations brought on by the neglectful CMHC program director or my advisor.
