Oh man, slowly became a massive train wreck. Staff was friendly our room was upgraded no clue why but we will take it. Got to our room and they call it upgrade but it looks like every standard room in every Radisson we stay in so not sure what was upgraded. We were told that the pub was closed but still could get alcoholic drinks in the restaurant. We went out for our anniversary dinner then came back to the hotel for more drinks. Showed up to the restaurant there was 2 staff members serving at at this time 4 tables with people sitting and the guy at the podium was on the phone freaking out to someone about the restaurant being swamped. We sat down and had to wait about 15 minutes to order a drink the waitress disappeared and then was running around doing all the work while the guy that was working only dealt with one table 20 minutes after we ordered our drinks they showed up. We drank them and sat for almost 20 minutes before we were able to get the waitress to order another drink. Now they have 20 people show up to do a paint night. None were eating and just wanted drinks at this point the one waitress working was in zoomies mode and the male working was now only dealing with 3 tables and ignoring us completely. 20 minutes went by and wow we finally got our second drinks we have been here for about an hour and 20 minutes now... with our drinks we ordered tequila shots because we figured order multiples at once because orders were a nightmare so my husband drank one and started to gag and I was like what's in the bottom of the glass it was like clear sand... it was salt like a tablespoon worth of salt in a shot of tequila my husband's eyes started watering and was saying repeatedly he was assaulted (as-salt-ed). I laughed and then we sat there and waited after the 1.5 our mark still no one serving us. A customer dropped his phone on the floor ( I didn't notice until he left) but the male server stepped over the phone about 8 times while looking at it and I was like what thel heck so I got up and picked it off the floor and I went to find the guy to get it back to him since the server was refusing to pick it up. We sat and waited saying we just wanted to leave finally at this time my husband yelled at the waitress for some service. Where she asked if we needed something we said just the bill. So off she went and we sat 20 minutes later she showed up with the bill and we paid.... 1 hour and 45 minutes from the time we sat down til we left... we both only got to order 2 drinks each (plus the salty tequila which was ordered with the second drinks) service was a joke this alone will be the reason why I won't use this Radisson but will keep going to the other radisson I normally use. We went to bed and the blanket was two top sheets with one of those thin hotel extra blankets between the sheets. In the morning I asked for this to be rectified because no where do 2 top sheets equal a real blanket. I was told that they don't have blankets or duvets that they only use two sheets with the thin extra blanket. We showed up to our room the second night and they did manage to find us a real blanket. We were given a free breakfast which was the best way to end this trainwreck because we were like sure a free breakfast will help ease the craziness but we showed up and the restaurant was filled with smoke because the night workers in the restaurant didn't do their job (no surprise if it was the same two people from the night before) so the heating things they put the food in had no water so the bacon ended up like a campfire. There was no sausages like the signed said but there was eggs, potatoes, and French toast. So at least my husband could eat eggs since he cant eat the potatoes or French toast. But we survived made it all the way back home and my kids asked me why I smelled like bacon on fire which was more the 7 hours ago but I guess I could smell like worse things. I will paid 10 bucks more and stayed at the Southside Radisson.
